IRC Annual Conference Successfully Held in New Delhi

2008/11/07:

Discussions on global expansion, global account development, Executive Board elections, priority of quality standards & enhanced regional cooperation, were some of the key highlights of the conference.

New Delhi, October 24, 2008 – IRC Recruitment, a leading global alliance of executive search firms held its 2008 annual meeting on the 8th, 9th and 10th October in New Delhi, India. Last year’s meeting was held in Madrid, Spain.

Continuing its global expansion strategy, IRC Recruitment welcomed 5 new member firms from the Americas, Middle East and Asia to the alliance. In 2009, the alliance will continue to focus on expansion in Asia, Australia, the Middle East and Latin America. As IRC Recruitment grew in size during the past year, cross-border assignments increased by an unprecedented 138% over last year. Growth was further fueled by the addition of two new global key accounts, a model, which is being preferred more often by IRC Recruitment’s worldwide clients. The buoyancy in IRC Recruitment’s cross-border business and new key account wins are testimony to IRC Recruitment’s local strength and international outlook.

The alliance members confirmed Mr. Mathias Friedrichs (Friedrichs & Partner, IRC Recruitment Germany) to continue as a President of the Executive Board and Mr. Jan Holmström (Search & Selection – S&S Consulting, IRC Recruitment Finland) and Mr. Ricardo Barckhahn (SKP Search Key People, IRC Recruitment Spain) to continue their terms as Board Members. Mr. Pankaj Dutt (Pantheon Advisory, IRC Recruitment India) and Ms. Sylvia MacArthur (Madison MacArthur, IRC Recruitment Canada) have been newly appointed to the Board. Due to the dramatic increase in level of activity within the regions, a new regional Team Leader structure was ratified as well.

To commemorate its fifteenth anniversary, this year’s annual meeting included a number of accomplished industry leaders from India as guest speakers and panelists on a roundtable discussion. IRC Recruitment delegates also visited a leading global outsourcing firm to understand its operations and growth plans.  All of these activities were designed to increase IRC Recruitment’s interaction with industry in general and provide an opportunity to all participants to understand specific local market dynamics. The meeting also included significant initiatives to continue to enhance regional cooperation amongst IRC Recruitment member firms and reinforce commitment towards global quality standards. Another highlight of the meeting was the roll-out of a new marketing toolkit to facilitate uniform branding of IRC Recruitment by member firms in their respective local markets.
